After six years operating out of Ballarat, Trudy McLauchlan relocated her lovely shop to the tiny hamlet of Talbot a year ago.

Playing in the Attic is a curious extraordinarium of papery delights and other wonderful things to encourage creativity and play. All items in the shop have been hand selected by Trudy, whose eye for detail and beauty can be seen in the lovingly curated collection of notebooks, paper, objects and other wonderments.

As part of the trail Trudy will be hosting her fourth annual one hundred faces exhibition in her shop window. For more information about one hundred faces click here.

Everything about this shop is a treat and a pleasure, and we are delighted to welcome Trudy back onto the Tiny Towns Arts Trail for 2023.

Connect with Trudy via Facebook at Playing in the Attic and on Instagram.

While you’re in Talbot don’t forget to visit Knit Queen to see (and purchase) Rosie Hardress’ eye-popping tea cozies and other amazing work.
